Driving Directions from Cincinnati to the Red River Gorge and then on to Cliffview
Take I75/I64 South.  At Lexington merge onto I64 East.  Continue past Winchester.  Take the BERT T. COMBS MOUNTAIN  PARKWAY exit number 98 East towards Campton/Prestonsburg.  Continue to exit 33 Slade/KY11.  To continue on to Cliffview:  At the end of the ramp turn right onto KY11.  This road will twist and turn for some while.  Watch for signs to Cliffview and then turn left onto RT715.  Again watch for signs to Cliffview and turn right into resort entrance.

Turn Right out of Cliffview resort.  Follow 715 through all of it's twist and turns until it comes to a T intersection (there is a Marathon station on the corner)  Turn left in order to remain on 715 North/ 15 North.  Approximately .9 miles there will be another intersection of KY 15 with Route 715 (there will be a post office on the right and a brown state attraction sign directing you to Red River Gorge.  You want to turn right.  This will take you over the mountain parkway.  Continue along Route 715 into the gorge.  You will drive several miles until you arrive at Chimney Top Road.  It will be marked with state park signs.  You will turn left onto a gravel road.  This road is 3.5 miles long and ends in the parking lot for Chimney Top.  The trail will be on your left as you drive in.  You want the Chimney top trail not the Princess arch trail.  You will recognize it because it is a paved trail.  It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get to the parking lot from Cliffview and about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the outlook so leave yourself enough time!
